I invite you
to name my body as if
it were a city.

unsheath
every streetscape
like you would a dagger
revealing, in each stroke,
scenes you would love to see,
revealing every wounding glare,
painstakingly careful
with the edges,
as you would
carve with
little alleys
and by-ways.

and suddenly,
i invite you
to stab me - here.
slash me
as you would plan roads
and deck each part
with cobblestones
naming every nook,
loving every corner,
bold yet careful
with every thrust,
making certain
with every gash.

i invite you thus
to murder me in parts
by loving me separately
that in the end
i am founded, and
chartered
as a New World
fit as dwelling
for my only Majesty,
you, my Queen.
